ORCHARD STREET EMBRACES ITS ROCK & ROLL SIDE

Back to List

With a brand new boutique, the block is about to become a little more edgy. After the iconic NYC punk emporium Trash & Vaudeville relocated in early 2016 to a much smaller East Village location, a window seemed to open up for a brand new Rock & Roll hub to emerge—one where you are sure to find those nostalgic patched denim jackets and rhinestoned boots needed to fulfill all your glitter and eyeliner-inspired dreams.

Cue I Need More Rock & Roll. The new clothing boutique, set for a fall opening, will be replacing the decade-spanning hybrid bar/boutique The Dressing Room, which unfortunately closed its doors in January 2017 at 87 Orchard

There’s not much information yet as to what’s in store for the new boutique, but it looks promising. I Need More Rock & Roll will be curated by Trash & Vaudeville manager and main buyer Jimmy Webb, the man who has built the identity of the now-famous clothing store since its inception in 1975, making it a home for outcasts of all kinds and a place for iconic bands like The Ramones to find their latest tour outfits.

Given the legendary reputation of Trash & Vaudeville, there’s no doubt that the new boutique will shake things up just south of the Delancey Street divide. Let’s rock.
