Othership is a Canadian bathhouse with a recently opened NYC location. The 7,000-square-foot space in Flatiron houses the largest sauna in the city. On site, you’ll find a 90-person performance sauna, several private ice baths and a common area boasting a fireplace. But what really sets Othership apart from other bathhouses in the city is its extensive guided wellness program. With 30 different group classes ranging from breath work to aromatherapy to somatic movement and more, there’s something for everyone. At night, you’ll find a range of sober social programming for those interested in slowing down and fostering a more mindful community approach.

While you may know Live The Process for their dance-inspired luxury activewear, the brand also runs a space called The Studio just across the street from our very own Roxy Hotel. With a manual elevator and tall windows filtering in natural light, The Studio itself feels like an old school New York dance studio—with a collection of knitwear and activewear you can browse between classes. The programming consists of everything from sculpt and pilates to breathwork and meditation with a rotating roster of guest teachers and holistic workshops. The schedule changes monthly, so you’ll always find something new to explore in this thoughtful curation of wellness experiences.

While ORA boasts two locations in the city, we love the nearby flagship location in Noho with its luxurious spa-like atmosphere. ORA’s focus is on Eastern medicine, specializing in customized acupuncture alongside additional services ranging from massage to cupping to red light therapy. If you’ve ever been interested in facial rejuvenation, the ORA Acupuncture Facial offers full body acupuncture along with a lymphatic massage, microcurrent and gua sha for the ultimate anti-aging experience.

With various locations over the years, Sky Ting has long been a beloved yoga community for the downtown NY scene. Its latest incarnation in Noho takes things up a notch with the addition of a plunge pool, a treatment room and—not one, but two—infrared saunas. The space has a kind of sporty ’80s feel complete with glass bricks and a mirrored lounge anchored by retro brown carpeting. And while you’ll still get the vinyasa and Katonah-inspired workouts Sky Ting is known for, you’ll also find a range of classes focused on everything from breathwork to pilates to line dancing. Whether it’s wellness or fitness you’re after, Sky Ting Noho is sure to have something for everyone—and in its most stylish space yet.

In 2004, the first location of AIRE Ancient Baths was opened in Spain in a 16th-century palace that had original Roman baths beneath it. Multiple locations followed before the beloved Tribeca location was opened in 2012. AIRE Tribeca is housed in a former textile factory just around the corner from The Roxy Hotel. It continues the Roman soaking tradition in a subterranean candlelit atmosphere that instantly takes you miles away from the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood. And if thermal baths and saltwater pools aren’t enough to meet your wellness needs, AIRE offers a number of treatments ranging from Himalayan salt scrubs to Orange Garden oil massage—there’s even an antioxidant-rich wine bath from Spanish Ribera del Duero red grapes paired with a honey hair mask and cheese tasting to boot.
